Our story began over sixteen years ago when we met and fell in love in Chester County. Over the years we have built a life together and dreamed of creating a space where our community can find joy and inspiration in gardening.
With over 15 years of experience in landscaping and gardening, Mark is the cornerstone of our store. After landscaping at University of Pennsylvania for a decade, Mark knew it was time to pursue his dream. His passion is helping others realize their gardening potential. And with that, we began the journey of building a space where folks feel welcome to shop, learn, and grow together.
We often get asked about our name Apricity Gardens. Apricity (a-pris-i-tee) is an old word first used in the 1600s but never gained popularity. The definition is the warmth of the winter sun. When Mark first heard it, he could imagine the feeling. He knew he wanted to save it as a name for something special. Fast forward ten years later, and now it is the name of our store, Apricity Gardens.
